I am extremely happy with the ice melt system Jeff installed a few years ago. It has solved my ice dam problem completely as there was never a leak since the installation despite heavy snow. I am totally pleased with that system. Also, Jeff has installed multiple handrails for the stairs and a grab bar for the bathroom . The quality of the work was excellent, and durable. I needed the installation done quickly and Jeff accommodated my timeline and all was finished in a very short time frame. In summary, I am very pleased with the outcome and professionalism of Jeff's team.
I had a nasty leak in the drain pipe under the kitchen sink going into the wall. After Jeff's estimate, Dave came in a saved the day. He'd repair one section and another would start leaking. He never left until it was all repaired and working just fineat original estimate. Thank you !
Jeff installed a melt system to stop ice buildup on an addition. It has worked beautifully. Cape Cod style houses often have ice dams and other ice related problems. The work was great, and the system does its job! Thanks Jeff!
Jeff solved our ice damming issue by installing a great system on several areas of out home. Also, has reframed a window because of wood rot on the outside. Installed new spindles on our deck. Very prompt on coming over soon after calling him.
Jeff and his whole crew are very professional and very skillful. We have had many projects at two different homes completed by them and the work is always first rate. Jeff will guarantee the best work at the best price regardless of the job, big or small. This past year they installed hardwood floors, painted the entire interior of our new house, installed fans and new lighting, fixed an electrical problem, built an extension and stairs on our deck, installed new deck railings, handrails, and grab bars to name just some of their jobs. I have such confidence in Jeff Tallon Enterprises that I don't even bother to get other estimates for any work we need to have done. I just call Jeff!
"Handyman" jobs start with lightbulb swaps, and go up to major "surgeries" where sawing/cutting/hammering must precede getting at the real problem, which is then done, after which repairing back out again finishes the job. That's the sort Jeff and his staff can do, as well as the minor stuff. I've had them replace a pair of rotted-out window frames, and a laundry water valve. Both required a lot more than a mere drop-in of a fresh gizmo, but they did them with skill, promptness, and permanence. Best of all, there is 18 YEARS between those two jobs, so in terms of work quality, business ethics, even staff on payroll (same "Dave" for both of them), so we're talking track record here, of American Pharaoh grade. They are top drawer, with one exception: the price. That is lower than I can imagine making a living doing. Look no further; consider moving to the east side to be in their regular territory.
Jeff and his team have been doing all our home improvement/maintenance work since I discovered them in 1999. Most recently, they remodeled our hall bathroom. It looks great! Had been old mid-50s, with extensive water damage in a wall, impossible to clean well. Now it looks great, and functions great. We left the design to Jeff, figuring that he knows more about the best stuff to install than we would ever learn on the Internet, and we are not sorry. While remodeling the bathroom, they dealt with the (sliding) hallway closets that didn't close well, digging out the floor tracks, and replacing the upper track mechanism. The doors actually slide now. His crew had grounded the kitchen outlets, and made sure that the circuit breakers were appropriate, and correctly labeled. And told us which outlets were not grounded. Our old house had extensive ice damming. Gutters had fallen down twice, and he installed the Byelin system. No more crashing gutters. Our old house was built in 1927, this one in 1955, each has it's own issues, and Jeff and his team have dealt with all of them. Jeff and his team are the only Handyfolk we've dealt with in Rochester, and we recommend them enthusiastically. They can and will take care of all your home issues and problems.
Jeff and his team completed the most beautiful powder room remodel, which led to a second bathroom remodel, which led to a master bath remodel. Each one was prettier than the last. I had a vision for the bathrooms, which included stone over the main shower and wood on the powder room ceiling, and Jeff helped me bring my ideas to elegant fruition. He helped with design and then pointed me in the direction of online sources for everything from vanities to lighting. His team was neat, organized, prompt, professional, and skillful. The process was painless and even enjoyable from brainstorming to completion. Bathroom remodels can be inconvenient and messy, but Jeff and his team made it a smooth process with an excellent result. I wish I could post pictures to show how beautiful these bathrooms really are. Thank you.
Jeff, you and your team are true professionals. The mess from the ice damming was pretty overwhelming to us. You came in. assessed the damage, and in a timely manner and for a reasonable price, got everything repaired, replaced, and cleaned up. I can't say enough about Dennis, Wayne, and David. They treated our home with the utmost care, even though it was a mess from the water damage! They left no stone unturned in making sure the job was done right. Have anyone you want to call me for a reference. I cannot thank you and your guys too many times. Topnotch people and topnotch workmanship.
Responded quickly. They arrived on time on the right day. The job took only one day to finish. I found them to be professional and efficient.
They gave a reasonable estimate to remove the windows and this was accepted. Rob and Luke removed the windows and placed them in our garage. We then requested that the painting work be done. Earlier work done was done at a reasonable rate so we were comfortable with their rates. Dave and Mark shaved the edges of the windows with a plane and painted the edges (previously unpainted) as well as both sides of the windows and their openings. They did a good job with all of the tasks including some changes in the scope of the job suggested by another contractor who is rebuilding some of the windows which had deteriorated. They washed all surfaces of the windows before placing them back in the openings. They used different fasteners so that the windows can now be removed more easily. They cleaned up everything carefully and took care with the plants they needed to work around. We were very pleased with the result.
I was very happy with the relationship that I had with the people that came out and they were there when promised and on time. They had a very good quality of work and the price of their service was exactly what they estimated it would be.
Jeff Tallon Enterprises repaired and replaced cedar siding on our house and repaired a soffit on the back of the hood. They also replaced rotted wood around the house. They did a good job with the repairs.
Service technician came in, removed some shingles to diagnose a leak, added some missing flashing, replaced some water-damaged sheeting and put down new shingles over the repair area.
Very well. The technician had the problem figured out in less than an hour. He then mapped out the materials he needed and purchased them. He was done by mid-afternoon. The job was done professionally and looked very good.
He was the only company that was willing to do some siding repair on my home. He came out and took pictures of all the work I wanted done.
It went well. He worked with me to track down the color of the siding in my home. He came out and took measurements of the siding and pictures of all the work I wanted done.
He said it would take about 2 weeks to get all the supplies ordered. I ended up having to buy a full box of my siding which is fine because now I'll have it for the next repair. The garage door trim wasn't a perfect match like the siding was but it still looks great and is very close. They also put some trim around my fireplace exhaust vent.
His worker Wayne showed up today. I had no advance notice of him coming but since it was outside work it really didn't matter. Wayne even fixed a few spots I didn't notice. Very much appreciated and no extra charge.
It wasn't easy finding someone to do siding repair and I thought the price was a little high at first but Wayne spent most of the day doing the work. I can see now that the costs were justified.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them in the future.
